Your starting point is Hato International Airport and you are leaving in the direction of the Eastpoint of Curacao.

When leaving the Hato Airport area, you turn left in the
direction of Willemstad. When following this road, you pass the
Hato Caves, one of the many points of interest on Curaçao.
You keep on following this road until you reach traffic lights.

At this traffic light you go straight ahead and follow
this road until you reach the roundabout Palu Blancu.
|

At this roundabout Palu Blancu you also go straight ahead (180 °C),
so you take the second exit. You are now driving on the Ring.
|

You keep on following this Ring (while passing 1 traffic light
and passing over a hill on which the road makes a bend) until
you have passed the Julianaburg, the pride of Curaçao. Enjoy
the breathtaking view of Curaçao's urban heart, with Curaçao's
oldest urban area Punda and its famous Handelskade and
reviving Otrobanda, to you right. At your left hand side
you see the industrial area with the oil refineries, but
also Fort Nassau, a fine dining restaurant with a
spectacular view of the entire island.

Just after you have crossed the Julianabrug, there is an
exit to the right in the direction of Punda. You take this exit.

You follow this road and you pass under the bridge. You keep on
following this road, which bends to the right down the hill. In this
bend you see the Movies, the cinema of Curaçao and the next-door
situated Tu Tu Tango Bodega, a very popular spot

You follow this road, while you turn around the Waaigat.
You pass two traffic lights.

To go to the Avila Beach Hotel, you take the first exit
to the left. You follow the traffic signs for the Octagon.
You are now driving on the J. van Walbeeckplein. This
square makes a bend, which you follow. Keep on following
the traffic signs for the Octagon.

You are now entering the Penstraat (at third traffic sign for
the Octagon). You reach a wall painting of the Blues, the island's
famous blues and jazz restaurant and bar situated in the lavish
setting of Avila Beach Hotel. You have now reached the Avila Beach Hotel.

For the direction of the Van der Valk Plaza Hotel you keep on going
straight ahead (continue from step 8), while passing a large bus stop.
You follow the road, which bends to the left and go straight ahead into
a shopping street (Columbusstraat).

You drive to the end of the Columbusstraat where you reach a square.
This is the Wilhelminaplein on which the City Hall and the Tele Museum
are situated. You turn right at the end of the Columbusstraat.

You turn around the Wilheminaplein until you reach an exit/street on the right.
|

|
You take this exit/street, the Waterfortstraat. You pass the Waterfort Arches,
where you can dine or have a drink while enjoying a beautiful view of the sea.

You keep on following this street and you reach the Van der Valk Plaza Hotel.
